1)Identify

  • Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Revolution was a new way of thinking about the natural world.
  • Nicolas Copernicus: He was a polish cleric and atronomer.
  • Heliocenric Theory: The theoty that the stars and the other planets revolve around the sun.
  • Johannes Kepler: He was a brilliant mathematician who proved mathematically that the planets revolve around the sun
  • Galileo Galilei: He was a 17 year old italian student who discovered the law of pendulum.
  • Scientific Method: It's a logical procedure for gathering and testing ideas.
  • Francis Bacon: An english politician and writer, had a passionate interest in science.
  • Rene Descartes: He developed analytical geometry, wich linked algebra and geometry.
  • Issac Newton: an english scientist who discovered the theory of motion.

2)Causes of the Scientific Revolution
  • Schoolars began to question the Geocentric Theory.
  • Schoolars replaced old assumptions with new theories.
  • A combination of discoveries and circumstances led to the Scientific Revolution.
  • The spread of the hallenging ideas both old and new.
  • More widely among Europe's thinkers.

HW#4

1)Describe the CANNON LAW
The cannon law was also known as the law of the church.
It consist in matters such as marriage and religious practice.
This law was both religious and political, the church also established courts to try people accused of violating cannon law.
2)Describe what might happen to aperson, like a king, who din't follow cannon law?
The king would be denied salvation.
